|Reinis Nitišs to take part in World RX of Argentina|
Reinis Nitišs, who announced that he would not take part in the last two rounds of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy after parting ways with All-Inkl.com Muennich Motorsport, has agreed to represent Olsbergs MSE in Rosario, Argentina, taking over for Finnish driver Niclas Grönholm.
Olsbergs MSE driver Niclas Grönholm has informed the team that he will not be able to take part in the final round of World RX. Like Nitišs, the Finnish rallycross driver has decided start preparing for the 2017 campaign. Since Nitišs competed in an Olsbergs MSE car in both Barcelona and Latvia, he was given the opportunity to take Grönholm’s place for the season finale.
“A little while ago, I thought that Gymkhana Grid would be my last serious challenge of the season, but I am very happy to return to the wheel of an RX Supercar and compete against the best rallycross drivers one more time. I would like to thank both OMSE and Grönholm family for this opportunity – every kilometre in a race gives me additional experience which will help me in the future!” says Reinis Nitišs. “In addition to that I am working hard on the plans for next year, but cannot give out any more information at this point in time.”
Final round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship is set take place in Rosario, Argentina on November 26-27, and fans in Latvia will be able to follow the action on Lattelecom television channel Best4Sport TV. Lattelecom is a supporter of FIA World Rallycross Championship round Neste World RX of Latvia, having provided modern technology at the event venue. Additionally, Lattelecom also supports Reinis Nitišs, who competes in the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship.
